Welcome to Julie Jones,
Whole Person Coaching
I coach you from your standpoint
Whatever you bring to me we explore together
I provide a safe and compassionate space
in which you can be yourself
What you say, I hear deeply and non-judgementally
You feel supported to explain and develop your thoughts and choices. I offer supportive prompts to help you idenify what may lie underneath these thoughts and what your intuition tells you about them. I respond with empathy and offer sensitive questions that may open your perspective or help you find new ideas, deepening or broadening your thinking.
My background in yoga naturally helps me to feel grounded and calm and brings a mindful quality to my coaching. I ensure that you feel you can take your time as you are being coached as this is key to you feeling you have the space fo find your own answers. I encourage you to feel settled and take your time.
Before completing my coaching qualification and now working as a coach, I have a long work history in education, teaching both children and adults as a primary school teacher and as a university lecturer, team leader and manager. Much of my job satisfaction has come from sharing in the success of others, of helping in difficult times, encouragin and supporting. This has been with pupils and students , but also mentoring and coaching peers and colleagues. This has more recently been coupled with my experience of teaching various styles of gentle yoga and developing my understanding of yoga philosophy, and this has contributed to my coaching identity. I bring my own humanity and life experience to the coaching relationship. In coaching, I am always respectful in seeking to help people recognise their inner resources and capbilities so that they can confidently move forward. I wholly honour the confidentiality of the coaching relationship.
I am a warm and compassionate coach who creates a safe space for people to pause and reflect. I listen deeply and help each person explore what matters to them. This means that any steps forward or changes that person decides to make feel true to them personally.
Comments from people I've coached have included that I helped them step back and see their bigger picture, that they feel a new confidence, more clarity, a greater energy and more certainty.
I've felt pure joy at the comments I have had, particularly where I have coached people experiencing a life change. By quietly exploring the uncertainties and questions that life change can bring up, people have been able to gently and positively move forward, trusting in their judgement and choices. My role has simply been to offer my presence and my professional training and experience to give them the room to explore what they feel suits them best.
My Coaching Qualification:
